Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) has officially released the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) institutions.

The online application portal will be active from January 8, 2026.

Vacancy Details (220 Posts)

The recruitment covers various specialties in Government Medical Colleges and Teaching Hospitals.

• Broad Specialties: General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Pediatrics, Anesthesia, etc.
• Super Specialties: Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, etc.
• Non-Clinical: Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

• Broad Specialties: MD / MS / DNB in the concerned specialty from an NMC-recognized institution.
• Super Specialties: DM / MCh / DNB in the concerned super specialty.
• Registration: Must be registered with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council (APMC).
• Senior Residency: Typically, 1 Year of Senior Residency is required for Broad Specialties (often exempted for Super Specialty posts, check specific notification clauses).

2. Age Limit (as on Notification Date):

• General: Up to 42 Years.
• Relaxation:
  • SC/ST/BC/EWS: +5 Years (Up to 47 Years).
  • PwD: +10 Years (Up to 52 Years).

Application Fee (Expected)

• OC (General): ₹ 1000/-
• BC / SC / ST / EWS / PwD: ₹ 500/-
• Payment Mode: Online (Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card).

Selection Process

The selection is based on a 100 Marks System (No Interview/Written Exam usually):

1. PG Qualification Marks: 75% Weightage.
2. Experience: Up to 10 Marks (1 Mark per year of service).
3. Contract Service: Weightage for service in Tribal/Rural areas (if applicable).
4. Institution Weightage: Additional marks for Central Govt Institution degrees (AIIMS/JIPMER etc.).

2. Click Notification Link: Look for the link “Direct Recruitment for the post of Assistant Professors in DME 2026”.
3. Register: Enter your Mobile Number and Email to generate credentials.
4. Fill Details: Enter personal details, MBBS/PG marks, and APMC registration number.
5. Upload Documents:
   • SSC (Date of Birth).
   • MBBS & PG Degree Certificates.
   • Marks Memos.
   • AP Medical Council Registration.
   • Caste/Community Certificate (if applicable).
   • Photo & Signature.
6. Pay Fee: Complete the payment online.
7. Print: Save the acknowledgment receipt and the filled application form.
