The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has released the syllabus and exam pattern for the Forest Guard (Vanrakshak) and Forester (Vanpal) recruitment 2026. The selection process consists of a Written Examination followed by a Physical Standard & Efficiency Test (PST & PET).

The written exam is an objective-type test conducted in offline mode (OMR-based).

A. Everyday Science (Dainik Vigyan)
- Physics/Chemistry: Abbreviations, Units & Measurements, Discoveries & Inventions, Measuring Tools.
- Matter: Materials (Solid, Liquid, Gas), Physical and Chemical changes.
- Biology: Scientific reasons for common phenomena, differences between living/non-living.
- Space & Tech: Making decisions from a scientific perspective, latest scientific developments.
B. Mathematics (Ganit)
- Number System: Whole numbers, Decimals, Fractions, Relationships between numbers.
- Arithmetic: Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Average, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Discount.
- Mensuration: Area, Volume (Perimeter and Area of triangles, rectangles, squares, etc.).
- Others: Time & Work, Time & Distance, Use of Tables and Graphs.
C. General Knowledge (Rajasthan Specific)
This is the most important section. Questions will focus primarily on Rajasthan, but some may cover India.

- Ancient Civilizations of Rajasthan (Kali Banga, Ahar, Ganeshwar, etc.).
- Major Dynasties (Mewar, Marwar, Amer, etc.) and their administrative systems.
- Freedom Movement, Prajamandal Movement, and 1857 Revolution in Rajasthan.

- Fairs, Festivals, Folk Music, and Folk Dances.

3. Physical Standard & Efficiency Test (PST & PET)
Candidates who clear the written exam (5 times the number of vacancies) will be called for the physical test.
