PSSSB Group D Exam Pattern 2025

The written exam will likely be a single paper consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Unlike Group C exams, Group D exams often integrate the Punjabi qualifying section within the main paper or give it high weightage.

1. General Knowledge & Awareness

  • Punjab GK: History of Sikh Gurus, Physical features of Punjab, Famous places, Folk Culture (Dances, Festivals), and Freedom Fighters of Punjab.
  • Current Affairs: Recent events in Punjab and India (Sports, Awards, Government Schemes).
  • Static GK: Indian Constitution (Basic Rights), Geography of India, and General Science (Everyday Science).

2. Punjabi Language (Most Important)

Since this is a Group D post, proficiency in reading and writing Punjabi is mandatory.

  • Grammar: Vyakaran (Noun, Pronoun, Adjective), Shudh-Ashudh (Correct/Incorrect words), Ling/Vachan badlo.
  • Vocabulary: Synonyms (Samanarthak), Antonyms (Virodhi), Idioms and Phrases (Akhans & Muhavres).
  • Comprehension: Reading a paragraph and answering questions.

3. Mental Ability & Reasoning
