Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released the official notification (Advt No. 01/2026) for the recruitment of 5,500 Constables in the Haryana Police.
The online application portal will open on January 11, 2026. This recruitment covers General Duty (GD) Constables and the Government Railway Police (GRP).

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
- 12th Pass (10+2) from a recognized board.
- Must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation (10th) or higher.
- Mandatory: The candidate must have Qualified the Haryana CET (Group-C).
2. Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026):
- General: 18 to 25 Years.
- Note: Check the detailed notification for any special age relaxation (often 3 years) given for this cycle.
- Relaxation: Applicable for SC/BC/EWS as per Haryana Govt rules.
3. Physical Standards (PMT):
- Height:
- Male: 170 cm (General) / 168 cm (Reserved).
- Female: 158 cm (General) / 156 cm (Reserved).
- Chest (Male Only): 83-87 cm (General) / 81-85 cm (Reserved).
Selection Process
The selection criteria have been updated (97+3 Marks System):
- PMT & PST: Physical Measurement & Screening Test (Qualifying Nature).
- Race (Male): 2.5 km in 12 mins.
- Race (Female): 1.0 km in 6 mins.
- Knowledge Test (Written Exam): Weightage of 97 Marks.
- NCC Certificate: Weightage of 03 Marks (A=1, B=2, C=3).
- Total: 100 Marks.
