Detailed Syllabus: Part I (Common for All)

This section is common for both Category 1 (Class 1-5) and Category 2 (Class 6-8).

  • General Odia (20 Marks): Comprehension (Unseen Passage & Poem), Grammar & Usage (Sandhi, Samasa, Karaka, Bibhakti).
  • GK & Current Affairs (20 Marks): Current Events (State, National, International), History of Odisha/India, Indian Polity, Geography, Economic & Social Development, Everyday Science.
  • Reasoning Ability (20 Marks): General Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning, Analytic Ability, Basic Numeracy, Decision Making & Problem Solving.
  • Computer Literacy (10 Marks): Basic Computer Skills (ICT in Classroom), Hardware, Common Applications (Word/Excel/PPT), Internet & Networking.
  • Child Development & Pedagogy (30 Marks):
  • Understanding Child Development: Growth vs Development, Principles, Heredity & Environment, Socialization (Piaget, Kohlberg, Vygotsky).

1. Language (Odia/Urdu/Hindi/Telugu/Bengali)

2. Language II (English)

3. Mathematics

4. Environmental Studies (EVS)
