West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has recently released important notifications regarding D.El.Ed merit lists and the ongoing primary teacher recruitment process.
1. Latest Notifications (January 2026)
- D.El.Ed Merit List (2020-2022 Batch): On January 7, 2026, the Board published a notification pertaining to the merit list of eligible candidates from the D.El.Ed (2020-2022) batch. Candidates should check the official website for the PDF list.
- Recruitment Correction Window: A notification regarding the editing option for the “Recruitment of Assistant Teachers” was active in mid-December 2025.
2. Primary Teacher Recruitment 2025-26
- Vacancy: 13,421 Posts (Assistant Teachers in Govt. Aided/Sponsored Primary Schools).
- Notification Date: November 19, 2025.
- Application Status: Closed (Last date was December 9, 2025).
- Current Status: The board is currently processing applications. The dates for the Interview and Aptitude Test will be announced shortly on the official portal.
3. WB Primary TET Updates
- TET 2023 Result: The result for the WB Primary TET 2023 (held in Dec 2023) was declared on September 24, 2025.
- Candidates can still download their scorecards from the portal if the link is active.
- TET 2026: The notification for the next Teacher Eligibility Test (WB Primary TET 2026) is expected later this year.
4. D.El.Ed Examination Updates
- Part-I (2024-2026 Session): The theoretical exams for this session were scheduled in August 2025.
- Admit Cards: Check the “Notice” section on the homepage for any pending practical exam schedules or mark sheet distribution notices.
