SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019- Eligibility, Salary, Admit Card, Exam Date and Full Notification – F. No. 3/6/2019-P&P-I (Vol.-1): The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India. SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019 Important Dates

  • Dates for submission of online applications: 03-12-2019 to 10-01-2020
  • Last date for receipt of application: 10-01-2020 (23:59)
  • Last date for making online fee payment: 12-01-2020 (23:59)
  • Last date for generation of offline Challan: 12-01-2020 (23:59)
  • Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 14-01-2020
  • Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): 16-03-2020 to 27-03-2020
  • Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper): 28-06-2020

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019 Application Fee

  • Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
  • Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
  • Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 12-01-2020 (24:00). However, candidates who wish to make the cash payment through challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 14-01-2020 provided the challan has been generated by them before 12-01-2020 (24:00).
  • Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.
  • Candidates who are not exempted from fee payment must ensure that their fee has been deposited with SSC. If the fee is not received by SSC, status of Application Form is shown as „Incomplete‟ and this information is printed on the top of the printout of online Application Form. Further, status of fee payment can be verified at the „Payment Status” link provided in the candidate‟s login screen. Such applications which remain incomplete due to non-receipt of fee will be SUMMARILY REJECTED and no request for

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019 Age Limit as on  01/01/2020

  • Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years as on 01-01-2020 (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1993 and not later than 01-01-2002).
  • Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories are as under:
  • SC/ ST 5 years
  • OBC 3 years 03 PwD (Unreserved) 10 years
  • PwD (OBC) 13 years 05 PwD (SC/ ST) 15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM) 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on closing date of receipt of online application.
  • Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989. 05 years
  • Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof. 03 years
  • Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof (SC/ ST). 08 years
  • Central Government Civilian Employees: Who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications. Up to 40 years of age
  • Central Government Civilian Employees: Who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications (SC/ ST). Up to 45 years of age
  • Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried. Up to 35 years of age
  • Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried (SC/ ST). Up to 40 years of age

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019 Eligibility

Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 01-01-2020):

  • For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
  • As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06- 2015 published in Gazette of India all the degrees/ diplomas /certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grant Commission Act 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the University Grants Commission.
  • As per UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 published in official Gazette on 23-06-2017, under Part-I (2)(p), the programmes in engineering, medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture and physiotherapy etc are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.
  • Candidates who have not yet acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and produce documentary evidence from the Board/ University in support thereof as on 01-01-2020 will also be eligible.
  • All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of Intermediate/ Higher Secondary/ 10+2/ Senior Secondary in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-01-2020, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission. The candidates who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he/ she has been declared passed, will also be considered to meet the educational qualification. It is reiterated that the result of required educational qualification must have been declared by the Board/ University by the specified date. Mere processing of the result by the Board/ University by the crucial cut-off date does not fulfill the EQ requirement.
  • In case of the candidates possessing equivalent educational qualification, such candidates shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificate from the 9 concerned authorities at the time of Document Verification. However, final decision regarding selection of such candidates will be taken by the concerned User Departments/ Appointing Authorities

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019 Pay Scale

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200).
  • Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and
  • Data Entry Operator, Grade „A‟: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).
