Status: EXAM CITY SLIP EXPECTED SOON

Session 1 Exam Starts: January 21, 2026

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in the final stages of preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2026 Session 1.

As of today, January 4, 2026, candidates are awaiting the City Intimation Slip, which is expected to be released in the first week of January (likely within the next few days).

JEE Main 2026: Critical Updates (January Session)

⚠️ Urgent Advisory: Photo Mismatch & Non-Aadhaar Candidates

The NTA has issued a critical advisory for candidates who registered without Aadhaar or have a photo mismatch in their application.

• The Issue: Discrepancy between the uploaded photo and official identity records.
• Action Required: You must upload a specific Identity Verification Certificate attested by a Gazetted Officer or School Principal.
• New Deadline: The deadline to upload this document has been extended to January 15, 2026.
• Check your registered email immediately. If you received a notice from NTA, failure to comply may lead to the withholding of your Admit Card.

What to Expect Next

1. Advance City Slip: This is NOT your admit card. It will only tell you the Exam City so you can make travel arrangements.
2. Admit Card: The actual hall ticket with the Exam Centre Name, Roll Number, and Shift Timing will be released later (mid-January).

1. Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in.
2. Click on the link “JEE(Main) 2026 Session 1 Advance City Intimation”.
3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
4. Download the PDF to know your allotted city.
