The Federal Bank has officially released the notification for the Office Assistant Recruitment 2026. This recruitment is specifically for 10th Pass candidates (Graduates are not eligible).
The selection process consists of a Centre-Based Online Aptitude Test followed by a Personal Interview. Below is the detailed exam pattern and syllabus for the written exam scheduled for February 1, 2026.
1. Federal Bank Office Assistant Exam Pattern 2026
The Online Aptitude Test will be objective type with multiple-choice questions.

Key Exam Points:
- Exam Mode: Online (Computer Based Test).
- Language: The question paper will be in English only.
- Negative Marking: There is NO negative marking for this specific Office Assistant post (unlike the PO/Clerk exams).
- Level: The difficulty level will be of 10th Standard (Matriculation) level.

Since the qualification is 10th pass, the syllabus focuses on basic aptitude and functional knowledge.
A. Mathematics (Numerical Ability)
- Number System: Integers, HCF & LCM, Decimals & Fractions.
- Arithmetic: Percentage, Average, Ratio and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple & Compound Interest.
- Time & Measurement: Time and Work, Time and Distance, Speed, Problems on Trains.
- Mensuration: Area and Perimeter of simple geometric shapes (Square, Rectangle, Circle, Triangle).
- Data Interpretation: Basic Tables and Charts.
- Simplification: BODMAS rule, basic algebra.
B. Logical Reasoning
- Series Completion: Number series, Alphabet series, Alphanumeric series.
- Coding-Decoding: Basic coding patterns.
- Analogy: Word analogy, Number analogy.
- Classification: Odd one out.
- Blood Relations: Simple family tree problems.
- Direction Sense Test: Finding direction and distance.
- Ordering & Ranking: Position in a row/class.
- Non-Verbal Reasoning: Figure counting, Mirror images.
C. English Language
- Grammar: Articles (A, An, The), Prepositions, Subject-Verb Agreement, Tenses.
- Vocabulary: Synonyms & Antonyms, Spelling Test, One-word substitution.
- Reading Comprehension: A simple passage with questions based on it.
- Sentence Correction: Spotting errors in sentences.
- Fill in the Blanks: Choosing the correct word to complete a sentence.
D. Computer Knowledge
- Basics of Computers: Hardware, Software, Input/Output devices.
- MS Office: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint (Very important as 1-month training is mandatory).
- Internet & Networking: Basic internet terms (URL, Browser, Email), LAN/WAN.
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Common shortcuts (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, etc.).
- Operating Systems: Basic functions of Windows.
3. Selection Process
- Online Aptitude Test: Candidates must clear the cut-off to proceed.
- Psychometric Assessment: (May be conducted for shortlisted candidates to assess behavior/attitude).
- Personal Interview: Final selection depends heavily on performance here. Document verification happens at this stage.
4. Eligibility Reminder (Important)
- Education: Must have passed 10th Standard (SSC).
- Restriction: Graduates are NOT eligible to apply. If you have completed your degree, you cannot apply for this specific post.
- Age Limit: 18 to 20 Years (Born between 01.12.2005 and 01.12.2007).
